Super Falcons, Cameroon friendly rescheduled for a second time

Super Falcons hold first training with 18 players in camp for Cameroon clash

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have had their international friendly against Cameroon rescheduled again, Afrosport reports.

The Super Falcons will tackle the Indomitable Lionesses in a double-header friendly, with the first leg initially scheduled for Saturday, 31 May at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.

The match was then postponed to Monday, 2 June, with the venue moved to the renovated MKO Abiola Sports Arena in Abeokuta, owing to the late arrival of the Cameroonian contingents.

The first leg, however, will now take place on Tuesday, 3 June at the same venue in Abeokuta, after the Confederation of African Football (CAF) failed to approve Monday for the game.

The game will kick off at 4pm Nigeria time, with a new date to be revealed for the second leg.

The Super Falcons will use the two friendly games against Cameroon as part of their preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) set to take place in Morocco in July.
