Former Roma boss, Ivan Juric has been appointed as the new head coach of Southampton, taking over the mantle from Russel Martin, Afrosport reports.
The Saints have had a poor first half to the season in the league winning just one of all 16 Premier League games they’ve played so far.
This led to the departure of Martin and now the appointment of Juric among their other options which included Casper Hjumland and Danny Rohl.
The 49-year-old was sacked as head of AS Roma just last month after a very short spell at the club when he was just four points above the relegation zone.
Regardless of this fact, he has a history of being able to keep smaller teams in top-flight football, as he has never been relegated in his managerial career, previously securing safety for Hellas Verona and Torino.
