Lloyd Harris has been knocked out the 2023 Mallorca Open after losing in three sets (6-4, 3-6, 6-7) to American Christopher Eubanks in the semi-finals on Friday.
The 26-year-old began the tournament in blistering form, winning in straights sets against Bernabe Zapata Miralles, Roman Safiullin and Pavel Kotov.
He started his semi-final tie against Eubanks strongly, breaking his American opponent in the first game of the first set which he ultimately won in 33 minutes.
Eubanks got his groove back in the second set, breaking Harris in the second game and winning the set in 41 minutes.
The third set was a fierce battle with Harris missing a golden opportunity to serve for the match in the 10th game, but Eubanks saved three break points to level the set 5-5. The set went into a tie break with Eubanks coming out on top 11-9.

The world number 77 will take on Adrian Mannarino in the final on Sunday, the Frenchman defeating Germany’s Yannick Hanfmann 7-6, 6-4 in Friday’s other semi-final.
