Rigobert Song has announced Cameroon’s 26-man squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup after their 1-1 draw against Jamaica on Wednesday.
Regular fixtures like Bayern Munich’s talisman Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Vincent Aboubakar, Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana, Napoli midfielder Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa and China-based Christian Bassogog have been summoned.
Gent centre-back Michael Ngadeu-Ngadjui did not make the squad but 19-year-old goalkeeper Simon Ngapandouetnbu who is in the books of Marseille is the youngest player in the squad and he is the only uncapped player in the team.
Cameroon are preparing to make their eighth World Cup appearance in Qatar and they find themselves in Group C with Switzerland, Brazil and Serbia.
Before their opening match on November 24, the Indomitable Lions have lined up a friendly match against Panama on November 18.
