Mohamed Salah hit a new milestone after scoring in Liverpool’s 4-1 Premier League win over Ipswich Town at Anfield on Saturday afternoon, Afrosport reports.
The Reds were favourites for the tie against the newly-promoted side and went ahead in the 11th minute thanks to Dominik Szoboszlai.
Salah then put Liverpool 2-0 up in the 34th minute after being assisted by Cody Gakpo.
It was the Egyptian superstar’s 176th goal in the top-flight which took him above Arsenal legend Thierry Henry (175 goals) to seventh place on the all-time top scorers list.
Salah is now 84 goals behind all-time leading scorer Alan Shearer (260 goals) and will set sights on surpassing Frank Lampard (177 goals) next.
It had to be him.

It was also the 32-year-old’s 100th league goal at Anfield and reflecting on it, Gakpo who scored the third and fourth goals said: “Wow. He breaks so many records – what can I say? Congratulations, Mo! I think that is something very special for him, for us as well and for the club. A great player and very consistent.”
Salah currently leads the Premier League goalscorers chart this season with 19 goals, two ahead of Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland.
