Leicester City have announced the departure of Brendan Rodgers after their 2-1 loss to Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon.
The Foxes have been in dismal form this season, winning only seven out of 28 games, losing 17 and drawing four.
Patience however ran out with the Leicester hierarchy as Saturday’s defeat by Palace dropped them into the relegation zone in 19th place.
Rodgers departs the King Power Stadium along with his assistant Chris Davies and fitness coach Glen Driscoll.
“Leicester City Football Club has reached a mutual agreement with Brendan Rodgers that will see him leave the Club after four years as our Men’s First Team Manager,” read a statement on the club website.
“Assistant Manager Chris Davies and First Team Fitness Coach Glen Driscoll will also be leaving with the Club’s thanks and best wishes for their future careers.”
Rodgers joined Leicester from Celtic in 2019 and led them to FA Cup glory in 2021, their second piece of sliverware under the Srivaddhanaprabha ownership after winning the Premier League in unprecedented fashion in 2016.

The team will be led by first team coaches Adam Sadler and Mike Stowell on the interim until a permanent manager is found.
Leicester’s next challenge to get out of the relegation zone will be at home to Midland rivals Aston Villa on Tuesday.
