Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has tied the Premier League record for most match-winning goals scored by a substitute with his second-half strike in the 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.
The 25-year-old got his fifth match-winning goal as a substitute after a nice combination with Bruno Fernandes.
Rashford replaced youngster Alejandro Garnacho just after the break and he scored the Red Devils’ only goal in the 76th minute to secure their third consecutive Premier League win.
The goal was also his 12th in the Premier League as a substitute, with only Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (17) and Javier Hernandez (14) scoring more off the bench for Manchester United in the English top-flight.
Rashford has been in inspiring form since Erik ten Hag’s arrival, with 11 goals and four assists in 22 games this season, including three goals and an assist since coming back from the World Cup.
He also had a good outing for the Three Lions in Qatar, scoring three goals in five appearances.
Rashford will hope to continue his scoring form this year, when Manchester United face Bournemouth at Old Trafford on Monday.
