Rafiu Durosinmi joins Pisa SC from Viktoria Plzen

Nigerian forward Rafiu Durosinmi has made a decisive leap in his career after sealing a move from Czech champions Viktoria Plzen to Italian Serie A outfit Pisa SC on a four-yeardeal, Afrosport reports.

Viktoria Plzen reportedly received €11 million which could potentially rise in bonuses and add ons.

The 23-year-old striker had attracted strong interest from multiple European clubs as his contract with Plzen approached its final months.

Pisa however acted quickly to strike a deal with both the player and his club, strengthening their attacking department for the second half of the Serie A season and beyond.

Durosinmi leaves the Czech Republic following a productive spell with Viktoria Plzen, where he registered 13 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions. He also caught the eye on the continental stage, most notably when he scored in Plzen’s 2-1 UEFA Europa League win against AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in October.

His switch to Italy represents a major step forward, giving the Nigerian the chance to test himself in one of Europe’s elite leagues while contributing to Pisa’s push for consistency and survival in Serie A.

He joins compatriot Ebenezer Akinsanmiro who is on loan at the club from Inter Milan. Akinsanmiro is currently on international duty with Nigeria at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
