PSG rejects LFP order to pay Mbappe €55 million in unpaid wages

Kylian Mbappe: Real Madrid star rejects French League mediation proposal in PSG salary row

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly refused to obey the decision of the French Football League  (LFP) which ordered them to pay their former star, Kylian Mbappe, the sum of 55 million accrued from unpaid salaries and bonuses, Afrosport reports.

PSG and Mbappe had been at loggerheads even before his protracted move to Spanish giants, Real Madrid in the summer over unpaid salaries and wages of about three months.

In a move to find a solution to the situation, the LFP set up a committee that heard the debate of both parties involved and deliberated on the best way to move forward.

According to a close source to the case, the committee ruled in favour of the Real Madrid star to the fury of the Qatar-owned French club.

The disputed amount, according to Mbappe, is from the final three months of his salaries and wages, but the representatives of PSG claim the 2018 World Cup-winning star agreed to forfeit them in August 2023.
