PSG have completed the signing of goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier from Lille on a five-year contract that runs until June 2030, Afrosport reports.
The 23-year-old Frenchman joined PSG for a reported fee of around €40 million and is tipped to replace Gianluigi Donnarumma, who has a year left in his existing contract with the Parisians and has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United.
Chevalier is a product of Lille’s youth academy and made his first team debut in 2021, becoming the first-choice keeper the following year after spending time on loan at Valenciennes.
He has since made 127 competitive appearances for Lille, keeping 44 clean sheets and was named UNFP Ligue 1 goalkeeper of the year for the 2024-25 season.
“I am a kid that is living his dream. Ever since I was small I wanted to play at the very highest level,” Chevalier told the club website.
“I’m really delighted to be here. I will wear this shirt with passion and ambition.”
Meanwhile, PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi said: “Lucas is one of the leading goalkeepers in France and Europe and a fantastic addition to our team – as we continue to build everything for the long-term based on the collective.”
