New Liverpool signing Alexis Mac Allister received a red card in the 58th minute but it did little to deter Jurgen Klopp’s men as Diogo Jota added a third goal four minutes later to put the icing on the cake.
Meanwhile, Wissa and Mbeumo were at it again as Brentford defeated Fulham 3-0 at Craven Cottage. The Congolese and Cameroonian forwards were both on target in the Bees opener against Tottenham Hotspur last week, and the former opened proceedings in the 44th minute with a composed finish after profiting off Issa Diop’s error before the latter made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 66th minute and completed his brace in added time.
