Saturday’s highly-anticipated Premier League Merseyside derby between Everton and Liverpool at Goodison Park has been postponed because of severe weather complications caused by Storm Darragh, Afrosport reports.
A weather warning was issued for Merseyside amid strong winds across the United Kingdom.
The match was due to kick off at 1:30PM (WAT) but was called off after a meeting between both clubs and representatives from Merseyside Police and Liverpool City Council.

Liverpool lead the Premier League standings, seven points clear of London sides Chelsea and Arsenal. Everton meanwhile are 15th, five points clear of the relegation zone.
Saturday’s fixture was meant to be the final league derby at Goodison Park before Everton’s move to Bramley-Moore Dock from next season.
