Chelsea closed the gap at the top of the Premier League standings after recording a pulsating comeback 4-3 win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening, Afrosport reports.
The Blues started on the back foot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after Dominic Solanke put Spurs ahead in the fifth minute followed by a second from Dejan Kulusevski six minutes later.
Manchester United loanee Jadon Sancho halved the deficit for Chelsea in the 17th minute with the scores remaining 2-1 until the hour mark when Cole Palmer equalised and Enzo Fernandez put them ahead 3-2.
Palmer completed his brace while Heung-Min Son scored a consolation goal for Spurs in added time.
The victory put Chelsea within four points of leaders Liverpool who have a game in hand after the postponement of Saturday’s Merseyside derby due to Storm Darragh.
Meanwhile Fulham and Arsenal played out a 1-1 draw in the earlier London derby on Sunday. Raul Jimenez gave the Cottageers the lead in the 11th minute but Willam Saliba cancelled it with a close range shot from a corner kick in the 52nd minute.
