Anglo-Nigerian duo Gabriel Osho and Elijah Adebayo were both on target for Luton Town as they played out an entertaining 4-4 draw with Newcastle United in Saturday afternoon’s Premier League action.
The Hatters have been on a resurgence in 2024 by avoiding defeat in all competitions so far and were fresh off a massive 4-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion in midweek in which Adebayo scored a hat-trick.
Though Sean Longstaff gave Newcastle the lead in the seventh minute, Luton equalised in the 21st minute thanks to Osho’s brilliant finish from Carlton Morris’ assist.
Longstaff made it 2-1 two minutes later but Luton responded through Ross Barkley in the 40th minute.
Luton came back stronger in the second half and raced to a 4-2 lead through Morris and Adebayo in the 59th and 62nd minute respectively, the latter now just a goal short of reaching double digits in the league.
Rob Edwards’ side could however not hold on to their advantage as Newcastle clawed their way back via Kieran Tripper and the returning Harvey Barnes.
