PL: Liverpool, Chelsea look to continue winning ways

Liverpool will hope to continue their winning streak in the Premier League when they travel to the Vitality Stadium to tackle bottom club Bournemouth in Saturday’s early kick off.

The Reds will be full of confidence after tearing Manchester United apart 7-0 last weekend. It was their fourth win in their last five leagues. It was also the fifth consecutive game the Merseyside outfit kept a clean sheet. They also thrashed the Cherries 9-0 in the reverse fixture and will eye another big win as they look to close the gap on the top four.

In the other fixtures on Saturday, Chelsea will hope to make it three wins on the bounce when they travel to the King Power Stadium to tackle Leicester City.

The Blues recorded only their second competitive win in 2023 with a 1-0 triumph over Leeds United last weekend and followed it up with a solid 2-0 win over in-form Borussia Dortmund which sent them through to the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.

Relegation-threatened Everton and Leeds United will look to make home advantage count and gain precious points when they host ninth-placed Brentford and eighth-placed Brighton & Hove Albion respectively.

Tottenham Hotspur will want to put their disappointing Champions League exit to AC Milan behind them when they play hosts to Nottingham Forest while Manchester City will to aim to close the gap on leaders Arsenal in their trip to Crystal Palace in Saturday’s late kickoff.

On Sunday, the Gunners will travel a short distance to tackle Fulham and Manchester United – fresh from their 4-1 triumph over Real Betis in the Europa League Round of 16 first leg – welcome 19th-placed Southampton to Old Trafford.

West Ham United will want to use their 2-0 win at AEK Larnaca in the Europa Conference League on Thursday to get another over Aston Villa while Newcastle United will be looking to get their first win in five games when they welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers at St James’ Park.
