Two second-half goals from Oliver Skipp and Harry Kane were enough as the North Londoners ended a run of eight league games without a win against the Blues, which included two draws and siz defeats.
The both sides started the game brightly but Spurs, who started the game without South Korean star Son Heung-min, came closest to breaking the deadlock as Danish midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojberg’s strike from outside the box struck the right hand post.
Raheem Sterling had Chelsea’s best chance of the first-half, but Fraser Forster was up to the task to deny the English forward.
Tottenham took the lead immediately after the restart from Skipp’s thunderous right-footed strike after Kepa Arrizabalaga had saved Emerson Royal’s low shot from the right of the box. The strike was his first-ever for Tottenham.
Son came off the bench in the 79th minute and Kane doubled the lead for Antonio Conte’s side three minutes later. The Three Lions’ striker tapped into an empty net at the back post off a an assist from Eric Dier, after the English defender had headed Son’s corner kick.

Chelsea, on the other hand, are winless in their last five Premier League games with two defeats and three draws. They currently sit 10th in the league standings with 31 points, 14 less than Tottenham in 4th.
