Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes on Friday was confirmed as the Premier League Player of the Month for March, capping his brilliant performances for the club, Afrosport reports.
Fernandes, who clinched his first Player of the Month award since December 2020 and his fifth since moving to United, joins club legends Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie as joint-third in the all-time list.

The 30-year-old was immense in helping United go unbeaten in the month, scoring two goals and providing two assists in two matches.
The Portugal international kicked off the month with a brilliant free-kick goal in United’s 1-1 draw at home to Arsenal. He then scored and provided two assists—his 50th in the Premier League—in a 3-0 thumping of Leicester City.
Fernandes is one Player of the Month award behind Steven Gerrard and United legend Cristiano Ronaldo, who are joint-second, and two behind the trio of Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero, and Mohamed Salah at the top.
Meanwhile, Nottingham Forest manager Nuno Espirito Santo was named the Manager of the Month for March.
Nuno led Forest to an unbeaten record with two wins against Manchester City and Ipswich Town. It marked the third time he has won the award this season and the seventh in his Premier League career.
