Premier League action on Saturday was filled with a host of African players getting their names on the score sheet, including those who participated at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, Afrosport reports.
At Turf Moor, DR Congo defender Axel Tuanzebe and South Africa forward Lyle Foster where on target in Burnley’s 2-2 draw with Tottenham Hotspur.
It was the first goal Tuanzebe scored for the Clarets since he joined last summer from Ipswich Town on a free transfer while it was Foster’s third league goal of the season and first since a 3-2 win at Wolverhampton Wanderers in October.
At Craven Cottage, Nigeria’s Samuel Chukueze scored the equaliser as Fulham came from a goal down to defeat Brighton & Hove Albion 2-1. It was the AC Milan loanne’s third league goal of the season added to his four assists.
Meanwhile, at the Etihad Stadium, Ghana winger Antoine scored his first league goal since joining Manchester City in the 2-0 win over bottom club Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The £65 million signing from Bournemouth already scored a goal and provided an assist in the 10-1 bashing of Exeter City in the FA Cup third round while he got another goal in the 2-0 win over Newcastle United in the EFL Cup semi-final first leg.

Egypt forward Omar Marmoush scored the other goal, his first strike of the season in the top flight.
At the Vitality Stadium, Morocco midfielder Amine Adil scored a winner deep in stoppage time as Bournemouth overcame reigning champions Liverpool 3-2. It was his second goal for the Cherries since his summer move from Bayer Leverkusen.
