The South Africa women’s Sevens rugby team suffered heavy defeats in their opening two group games at the ongoing Paris 2024 Olympics on Sunday.
The Blazeboks faced Australia in their first Group B game and were pummelled 34-5.

Maddison Levi had five tries for the Aussies and Faith Nathan with one while Tia Hinds had two conversation goals.
Nadine Roos bagged the only try for the South Africa women’s Sevens team.
Their second match of the day saw them face Ireland but it was another heavy defeat, losing 38-0.

Renfred Dazel’s team currently sit bottom of Group B and will face Great Britain in their final group game on Monday afternoon.
