Ousmane Dembele made headlines once again after scoring twice in Paris Saint-Germain’s 3-0 win over Brest in the UEFA Champions League knockout phase playoffs on Tuesday night, Afrosport reports.
Portugal midfielder Vitinha put the French capital club ahead in the 21st minute before Dembele scored his brace in the 21st and 45th minute.
It took the 27-year-old Frenchman who is of Malian, Senegalese and Mauritanian heritage, to 15 competitive goals in 2025 so far which equals in his career tally scored in an entire calendar year.
He will most likely surpass that figure by a mile if he remains available for the rest of the year.
The 15 goals of Dembele also makes him the player with most competitive goals in Europe’s top five leagues in 2025.
Overall, the former Barcelona man has 23 goals and six assists in 28 competitive appearances, making the 2024-25 season the most productive campaign of his career.

Dembele will hope to score his 20th Ligue 1 goal of the season in Saturday’s trip to Toulouse before hosting Brest in the Champions League knockout playoff second leg at the Parc des Princes next Wednesday.
