Osimhen sets price tag in excess of £100 million on himself

Osimhen to miss Galatasaray’s match against Gaziantep due to ineligibility problems

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen says that he is worth over £100 million as he claimed to be one of the best footballers in the world currently, Afrosport reports.

The 25-year-old was part of Napoli’s Scudetto triumph two seasons ago, scoring 26 goals in Serie A. He also became the first African player to win the Capocannoniere for top scorer.

The Nigeria international moved to Galatasaray on a season-long loan deal this summer with the release clause reportedly reduced to €75 million after having a €130 million release clause in the contract he signed with Napoli last December.

The Galatasaray forward however believes he is worth more than that and is also an elite striker that is currently one of the best in the game.

Osimhen has registered two goals and four assists for Galatasaray in this season and in an interview with Tutto Sport stated: “I am worth more than 100 million euros. There are few players like me in the world who have achieved the same results and success as me.

“Everything is linked to my characteristics, the things I do on the pitch and my quality. I think I deserve a high valuation.

“I am aware of the contribution I can give to a team. Do people think differently? Some say 15 million euros, others say 100-120-150. Everyone has different opinions.”

Osimhen will be looking to score this first Europa League goal for Galatasaray when they take on RFS FC of Latvia on Thursday evening.
