Osimhen scores 200th career goal in Galatasaray win

Solanke nets brace as Tottenham come back to draw Man City at home

Victor Osimhen scored the 200th goal of his career for both club and country in Galatasaray’s 4-0 win over Kayserispor in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday, Afrosport reports.

Aaron Opoku gave Galatasaray the lead by putting the ball into his own net in the seventh minute before Osimhen made it 2-0 from the penalty spot in the 26th minute. It was the 165th goal in his club career across spells with Wolfsburg, Sporting Charleroi, Lille and Napoli while he has 35 goals for the Nigeria national team.

It was his eighth league goal of the season and his 14th in all competitions, while it was his seventh successful penalty conversation for Galatasaray in the league in as many attempts, making him the only player to achieve that since 2014-15 alongside Colombian legend Radamel Falcao.

Osimhen assisted Gabriel Sara for the third goal on the hour work while Mauro Icardi scored the final goal from the spot in added time.

Galatasaray have now gone six points clear of fierce Istanbul rivals Fenerbahce who play Kocaelispor on Monday.
