The duo of Victor Osimhen and the newly-called Gabriel Osho have both been ruled out of Nigeria’s upcoming international friendlies against Ghana and Mali.
The two players will join Italy-based Tyronne Ebuehi and Nottingham Forest forward Taiwo Awoniyi, who have both been ruled out of the games due to injury.
Osimhen, who was doubtful for Napoli at the weekend, missed their 1-1 draw at San Siro against Serie A leaders Inter Milan on Sunday, while Osho has not featured in Luton Town’s last two matches in the Premier League after being subbed off in the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace earlier in the month due to injury.
However, it is left to see which players interim head coach Finidi George will call up to replace them.

Additionally, Real Sociedad forward Umar Sadiq, who controversially missed Nigeria’s participation in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations due to injury, has touched down at the team’s camp in Marrakech, Morocco.
The arrival of the 27-year-old takes the total number of players in the Eagles camp to eleven after ten other players arrived earlier today (Tuesday).
The three-time African champions will be in action for the first time since their runners-up finish in the 2023 African Cup of Nations earlier this year when they take on the Black Stars of Ghana in their first friendly match at the Grand Stade de Marrakech on Friday, March 22.
The Super Eagles will then take on the Eagles of Mali in their second friendly on Tuesday, March 26, at the same venue.
