Paul Onuachu and Southampton will begin life in the Championship when they travel to Hillsborough to tackle Sheffield Wednesday on August 4.
The Saints were relegated after 11 seasons in the Premier League last term, finishing last with 25 points.
Onuachu was purchased from Genk in January but could not save Southampton from relegation and is yet to open his account for the south coast outfit. Joe Aribo the another Nigerian who moved to the saints last season in the summer from Scottish giants Rangers, playing 28 times and scoring twice.

Wednesday meanwhile made it to the Championship playoff final but lost to Luton Town 6-5 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in extra time, and recently had manager Darren Moore and his entire backroom staff depart the club.
Semi Ajayi’s West Bromwich Albion will travel to Ewood Park to take on Blackburn Rovers in Saturday’s simultaneous games while Chuba Akpom’s Middlesbrough will be at home to Millwall. After nine years, Leicester City will begin life in the Championship with a home tie against Coventry on August 6. The Foxes have a new manager in former Manchester City first team coach Enzo Maresca and it is yet to be seen what the future of Nigerian duo Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi will be as they have just a year left to run on their existing contracts.
Leeds United, the other relegated Premier League club, will host Cardiff City on Sunday likewise Sunderland against Ipswich Town.

Other games on the opening Championship weekend will see Bristol City host Preston North End, Norwich City will be up against Hull City, Plymouth Argyle will face Huddersfield Town, Queens Park Rangers will battle Watford while Rotherham United will play Stoke City away from home likewise Birmingham City against Swansea City.
