Paul Onuachu struck a hat-trick as Trabzonspor came from two goals down to defeat Gaziantep 4-2 in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.
The lanky Nigerian forward was making his first start since returning from a fractured forearm that saw him miss six league games.
The Black Sea Storm however fell behind on his return to first half goals from Gaziantep’s Deian Sorescu and Denis Dragus.
Onuachu turned out to be the star of the second half, netting his first goal in the 50th minute from close range before he assisted Enis Bardhi to level matters 15 minutes later.
The 6 ft 7 Southampton loanee put Trabzonspor ahead almost immediately when he was fed by Edin Visca for the second time, and completed his hat-trick in the 68th minute with a sublime strike after receiving a fantastic pass from Egypt forward Trezeguet.
He became the first Trabzonspor player to score a hat-trick since Alexander Sorloth did so against Kasimpasa in January 2020.

Onuachu and his hat-trick took him to 12 goals in 18 Super Lig games this season and sees Trabzonspor maintain third in the standings, six points clear of fourth-placed Istanbul Basaksehir.
