Onana: Manchester City under more pressure ahead of UCL final

Inter Milan and Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana believes Manchester City are under more pressure than the Nerazzurri as both sides gear up for the UEFA Champions League final in Istanbul this weekend.

Inter are into their first Champions League final in 13 years while Manchester City are into their second final in three years. The Citizens are favourites to win the final which would complete the treble having already lifted the Premier League and FA Cup.

Onana stated that Simone Inzaghi’s team have nothing to lose and will approach the highly-anticipated match with ease.

“I am living very good. I am so happy. I am so calm. Why? Because this is a special game for us, playing in the Champions League final. It can come (only) once in your life,” the Cameroonian shot-stopper said.

“But that is why we have to prepare good. We do not have to stress. We have to go easy, easy because we play against a very tough opponent (Manchester City). We have nothing to lose. So they have more pressure… They have more pressure than us..”

Onana has been ever present for Inter Milan in the Champions League this season, playing in every game on the way to the final, conceding 10 goals and keeping eight clean sheets.

He will be looking to replicate winning the Champions League with Inter just like his countryman and current football federation president Samuel Eto’o did in 2010.
