David Okereke found the back of the net in Saturday’s Serie A game but his effort was not enough as Cremonese lost 2-1 at home to Inter Milan.
The Grey and Reds remain winless since gaining promotion to the Italian top-flight this season, with a run of eight draws.
Regardless of their struggles, Okereke got things off at Stadio Giovanni Zini in the 11th minute with a sublime curler. It was the Nigerian forward’s fourth Serie A goal in Cremonese colours this season, more than any other player in the team.

The lead was however shortlived with Lautaro Martinez equalising for Inter 10 minutes later from a rebounded effort that Edin Dzeko initiated. The World Cup champion made 2-1 to the Nerazzurri in the 65th minute with fierce strike after being assisted by Dzeko.
The loss was Cremonese’s 12th of the season from 20 games which leaves them rooted to the bottom of the Serie A log and are nine points away from safety.
Inter meanwhile moved up to second above their fierce rivals AC Milan who face Sassuolo on Sunday afternoon.
