“The gaffer informed the club management of his decision to vacate his position, citing the emergence of a significant opportunity which he believes cannot be combined with his current responsibilities without compromising either role,” a statement from Kano Pillars read.
“After careful discussions, both parties agreed it was in the best interest of the club’s future that he steps aside.”
The experienced coach was suspended for some period during the past Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season due to poor results and his behaviour towards the fans.
Abdallah, who joined Pillars before the beginning of the 2024-25 season, led the four-time Nigerian champions to a ninth-place finish last campaign, amassing 53 points from 38 matches, a six-point increase from the previous season.
