NPFL: Niger Tornadoes to adopt Lafia City Stadium as home ground

NPFL instructs Niger Tornadoes to choose new home ground

Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) side Niger Tornadoes have decided to play their remaining home games at the Lafia City Stadium in Nasarawa State, Afrosport reports.

The Lafia City Stadium, home to NPFL club Nasarawa United, will host Tornadoes for the rest of the season.

Niger Tornadoes were mandated to select a new home ground after the NPFL ruled the Bako Kontagora Stadium unfit to host league matches.

The Minna-based club was also prohibited from hosting their home games at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna as the league body ruled that the pitch was not in good condition.

Niger Tornadoes will play their first home game in Lafia against Enyimba on Sunday, 2 March.

They are, however, in action on Wednesday at bottom-placed Lobi Stars in matchday 27 in the NPFL.
