Ikorodu City came back from a goal down to beat visiting Plateau United 2-1 on Wednesday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in a matchday 25 encounter in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL), Afrosport reports.
Albert Hilary put the visitors ahead in the 38th minute to silence the home crowd in Lagos, finishing from a tight angle after a decent cross from Samuel Kalu.
The Oga Boys, however, pushed for an equaliser all through the first half but were unable to break the visitors defence.
The hosts improved in the second half and grabbed a well-deserved equaliser in the 74th minute through the boots of Olatunji Abdulmalik with Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle in attendance.
With ten minutes left to play, Tosin Oyedokun secured maximum points for Ikorodu City with a winner, which reawakened the Lagos fans, who cheered until the final whistle.
Victory propelled the Oga Boys to fifth in the NPFL standings on 38 points, while Plateau United are 16th on 28 points.
