NPFL: Fatai Osho makes Rivers United U-turn

NPFL: Ex-Remo Stars coach Osho resigns from Rivers United

Former Remo Stars coach, Fatai Osho has announced that he will return to his role as assistant coach of NPFL reigning champions Rivers United.

Osho makes the U-turn just under 48 hours after he announced he would be departing Port-Harcourt.

He made the announcement in a cryptic post on Facebook which was captioned, “Going back to the family #RiversUnitedFC off to Jos.”

The previous post revealing the ex-Eyinmba coach’s resignation has now been deleted from his timeline.

There has been no official statement or reaction by the club to the dramatic turn of events but speculations suggest that Osho has moved to mend ties with members of the club hierarchy whom he had differences with.

His return is a welcome boost for Rivers United as they look to defend their domestic league title and also continue their conquest in the CAF Confederation Cup where they face Tanzanian Premier League side Young Africans in the quarter-final.
