Reigning Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions Enugu Rangers returned to winning ways on Thursday with a 1-0 win at home against Bayelsa United, Afrosport reports.
The Flying Antelopes lost to current league leaders and title challengeers Remo Stars on Sunday and needed an instant response.
Rangers created a couple of chances in the first half, but the final connection in the opposition’s box was their greatest undoing.
However, Isaac Saviour’s 75th minute long-range effort was all Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side needed to amass maximum points at the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium.

Victory moves Rangers to seventh on the log with seven points from four league games.
Newly-promoted Bayelsa United are 17th on the log with just two points from four games.
Up next for Enugu Rangers, who are eight-time NPFL winners, is another home game against oriental rivals Abia Warriors on Sunday.
