El-Kanemi Warriors have officially unveiled a newly restructured technical crew as part of their preparations for the upcoming Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, Afrosport reports.
Taking over the reins is Mohammed Kalli Kachalla, who has been appointed as the new chief coach. Kachalla is expected to bring a fresh tactical approach to the team.
Kachalla takes over from Aliyu Zubairu, who spent two years at the helm of the Maiduguri-based side.
He will be assisted by Ibrahim Imam and Ishaq Hussaini Goni, both of whom come with valuable coaching experience and familiarity with the club’s footballing philosophy.
The club has also appointed two goalkeeper coaches, Hussaini Yusuf and Usman Mohammed.
El-Kanemi Warriors head into the new season with renewed confidence after their remarkable triumph in the 2023-2024 President Federation Cup. The club lifted the prestigious trophy by defeating Abia Warriors 2-0 in a commanding performance at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
The Warriors’ management has expressed optimism that the new technical crew will build on last season’s cup success and guide the team to a strong showing in both domestic and continental competitions.
