Former Super Eagles forward Daniel Amokachi has resigned from his role as the head coach of Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Lobi Stars, Afrosport reports.
The 52-year-old on Tuesday stepped down from his position at the club following their 1-1 home draw against Katsina United last weekend.
Amokachi joined Lobi Stars in October, following the sacking of Eugene Agagbe, with the club in 17th position in the NPFL standings.
The former Nigeria international, however, resigns with the Makurdi-based club currently languishing at the bottom of the league table, having failed to win any of their last nine games.
Lobi Stars are due to play Shooting Stars on Wednesday, with assistant coach Tar Akombo set to oversee the Pride of Benue at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
