Nigeria Professional Football League outfit Lobi Stars have released a statement saying they are not considering a move to sign Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Portuguese superstar had his contract terminated by mutual consent following an explosive interview with Piers Morgan where he accused the club of betraying and disrespecting him.
The 37-year-old is now free agent and as clubs hustle to apend his signature, Lobi Stars have distanced themselves from making any approach with his representative headed by super agent Jorge Mendes.
“Please be informed that Lobi Stars is yet to make any contact with representatives of Cristiano Ronaldo following his release from Manchester United,” the Makurdi-based outfit said in a Twitter post.
“We wish him the best and Lobi Stars will make no further comment on this.”

Ronaldo is currently with the Portugal squad at the ongoing 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
He will be attempting to win the illustrious competition in what is likely to be his fifth and final appearance in the tournament.
He begins that quest when he leads his team out against four-time African champions Ghana in Group H at Stadium 974 on Thursday evening.
