Nigerian forward Akor Adams is set for another spell on the sidelines due to a muscle injury he picked up while playing for Spanish side Sevilla, Afrosport reports.
Adams, who played the entire 90 minutes in Sevilla’s 2-1 home loss against Atletico Madrid on Sunday, has suffered a muscle injury in his right thigh.
Sevilla on Tuesday confirmed the injury with a statement on their website, which read: “The club’s medical team can confirm that Akor Adams suffered a hamstring injury in our last game against Atlético Madrid.
“The Nigerian striker will begin the recovery process on Wednesday.”

The 25-year-old joined the Rojiblancos from Ligue 1 club Montpellier in January and has had limited playing time due to injuries.
He sustained a muscle problem in February, which kept him out for weeks. Having just returned in March, Adams, who has made just four appearances for the La Liga club, will not be available for selection by Garcia Pimienta.
