Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has been named Atalanta Player of the Season for the 2023-24 campaign.
He fended off competition from Brazil midfielder Ederson and Dutch star Teun Koopmeiners for his second consecutive Player of the Season award in Italy.
Lookman played a starring role in helping the Serie A club end their long-wait for a silverware with his man-of-match performance in the UEFA Europa League final.
The 26-year-old scored all three goals as Atalanta defeated Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 in the Europa League final that took place in Dublin on May 22.

The Nigeria international amassed 17 goals in 45 games for the Nerazzurri across all competitions in 2023-24 season.
He contributed seven assists and 11 goals as Atalanta finish fourth in the Italian Serie A but his only goal in Coppa Italia semi-final was not enough as they lost to Juventus in the final match.
During the season, the Super Eagles star won Atalanta’s Player of the Month award thrice (October, Novemeber and May-June)
Currently, Lookman is enjoying his vacation in America after playing for Nigeria earlier this month in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Atalanta are expected to begin their pre-season training in earnest with friendly games against AZ Alkamaar and St Pauli in July before facing Real Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup on August 14.
