NFF changes venue for Super Falcons and Algeria friendly

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Wednesday announced a venue change for the international friendly match between Nigeria’s Super Falcons and Algeria, Afrosport reports.

The two African powerhouses were billed to face off in a friendly double-header at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, but according to the NFF, the first leg will now take place at Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State.

Although no reason was given for the change in venue, the dates of the match remain unchanged as the first leg will still hold on Saturday, October 26 as previously scheduled.

Meanwhile, the second leg of the friendly will take place at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, on Tuesday, October 29.

The two matches will kick-off at 4pm local time as the two teams are looking to use the games as preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
