The Nigeria Cricket Federation have announced the postponement of the National Under-17 Cricket Championship.
The tournament was supposed to be slated for February 15 through February 19 but had to be called off owing to the difficult social and economic situation currently in the country.
The youth cricket championship was also postponed owing to the general elections billed for February 25 and March 11. A new date for the tournament will be announced later.

In a circular released by the cricket federation, the governing body hailed the completion of the playoffs for the tournament at regional level and reiterated its commitment to ensure the growth of cricket in the country and giving the sport the attention it deserves.
