Elsewhere, the Atlantic Conference progressed to Day 3 in the Indoor Sports Hall of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.
Delta Force got back to winning ways with a 73-54 victory over Lagos Legend, while Oluyole Warriors lost for a second straight game following a 61-57 defeat to Comets.
Rivers Hoopers, bronze medallist from the last edition of the Basketball Africa League (BAL), recorded another 20 or more points win with an 81-58 rout of Police Baton, while Hoops and Read overcame Kwara Falcons 94-48 with a huge 46-point win margin to remain unbeaten.
