Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry did not suffer severe damage following the ankle injury he sustained in Sunday night’s 112-104 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, Afrosport reports.
The 36-year-old sprained his left ankle late in the third quarter in the Warriors home opener at Chase Center.
Although he initially shook off the pain and reentered the game in the fourth quarter, he sprained the ankle again before exiting the game and heading to the locker room.
Curry underwent an MRI scan after the game, and it has been reported that the 10-time All-Star suffered no structural damage.
The Warriors on Monday confirmed that the Olympic gold medallist has a left peroneal strain, and will be reevaluated on Friday.
