NBA: Siakam leads Raptors past Bulls as Giannis hits double-double in Bucks defeat in Preseason Games

Cameroon power forward Pascal Siakam scored 22 points and grabbed five rebounds in 30 minutes as the Toronto Raptors saw off the Bulls 106-102 in preseason at the United Centre in Chicago.

The two-time NBA All-Star had three steals in another solid defensive performance and was 8-of-11 from the field, shot 4-of-6 from the free throw, as well as making two out of his five 3-point attempts.

Scottie Barnes also scored 22 points along with six rebounds and three assists in 26 minutes of action, swiping the ball twice and forcing for rejections.

Germany point guard and FIBA World Cup MVP Dennis Schroder managed 12 points and dished out four assists in 27 minutes, while Gary Trent Jr. added 11 points off the bench and shot 3-of-6 from beyond the arc.

Serbia’s Nikola Vucevic registered a 20-point and 10-rebound double-double in 27 minutes for the Bulls, which also had Zach Lavine score 25 points in 30 minutes.

DeMar DeRozan added 15 points and five assists; Cody White scored 11 points; and Patrick Williams ended the game with 10 points for Chicago, whose five starters finished in double figures.

At the Paycom Centre in Oklahoma City, the Thunder beat the Milwaukee Bucks 124-101 despite Giannis Antetokounmpo’s double-double to register their second preseason victory.

Australian guard Josh Giddey scored a team-high 19 points, seven rebounds, and five assists; Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams scored a combined 36 points; and Shai Gilgeous Alexander finished with 10 points, five rebounds, and five assists in 25 minutes.

Antetokounmpo finished the game with 18 points and 10 rebounds, along with four steals, in 24 minutes. Former Lakers guard Malik Beasley scored a game-high 20 points and shot 6-of-11 from the 3-point line.

Damian Lillard, who was playing just his second game in preseason for the Bucks, managed just five points in 24 minutes, while AJ Green and Andre Jackson Jr. dropped a combined 25 points.
