It was a good night for the new superstar duo in Milwaukee as Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo starred in the Bucks 108-97 win over the Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena in the early hours of Monday.
Lillard scored 14 points in 22 minutes in his preseason debut for the Bucks, while two-time MVP Antetokounmpo finished with 16 points and eight rebounds in 15 minutes for the duo’s first time on court as teammates.

Lillard, who was part of a three-team trade that saw him move from Portland to Milwaukee, was 3-for-10 from the field goal, including 2-for-7 from 3-point range, along with a 100% record from free throws (6-of-6).
Giannis, who got two blocks, shot 7-of-10 from the field, along with a 100% record from both the free throw and 3-point lines.
Brook Lopez got 11 points; Pat Connaughton (12 points and 8 rebounds); Cameron Payne (12 points and 7 assists); and Bobby Portis (10 points and 8 rebounds) all impressed for the Bucks in their second win in three preseason games.

With LeBron James rested, Anthony Davis took the mantle of scoring for the Lakers with 16 points in 19 minutes. The 8-time All-Star also managed seven rebounds, five assists, two steals, and two blocks.
D’Angelo Russell added 11 points for Los Angeles, who also had Max Christie and Cam Reddish finish in double figures with ten points apiece as Darvin Ham’s side fell to their third defeat in five preseason games.
