According to reports, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James is set to be out for multiple weeks after suffering a right foot injury.
The Lakers had already ruled the NBA’s all-time leading scorer out of Tuesday’s game at Memphis Grizzles with what was described as right foot soreness. The full extent of the injury is not yet known as test results are still pending.
James played 37 minutes in the Lakers’ 111-108 win at Dallas Mavericks on Sunday, helping the 17-time champions rally from a 27-point deficit. He, however, got hurt in the third quarter, grabbing his ankle after spending some time on the floor in obvious pain yet was able to finish the game.

After the game, he said : “It’s been better, but I definitely wasn’t going to the locker room and not finish the game.”
“The importance of this game and then the momentum that we had, I felt like we could steal one after being down.”

James leads the Lakers in scoring at 29.5 points per game, and said at the All-Star break earlier this month that the team’s closing stretch this season would be some of the most important games he has played.
The Lakers are currently 10th in the Western Conference standings with a 29-32 win-loss record and should James be out for an extended time, the Lakers’ hopes of making the playoffs might become tougher.
