Jonathan Kuminga has agreed a two-year, $48.5 million deal to remain with the Golden State Warriors, ending a summer-long contract standoff, Afrosport reports.
Kuminga’s deal includes a team option in the second year, giving the Warriors – or any team that trades for him – the chance to restructure his contract after the 2025-26 season.
The 22-year-old turned down a three-year, $75 million offer, opting instead for a shorter deal that gives him more control over his future.

The DR Congo forward was missing from media day on Monday and was a no-show for the first day of training (Tuesday) as talks dragged on. The Warriors eventually raised their offer by $8 million compared to July, with Kuminga also waiving his no-trade clause as part of the new agreement.
His new contract is the fourth-highest salary on the team behind Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler III and Draymond Green, and will push the Warriors’ luxury tax bill over $80 million.
Meanwhile, the Warriors have also signed Seth Curry to a one-year deal, reuniting him with his brother Stephen as training camp begins. Golden State continue to shape their roster with veteran additions, including Gary Payton II, Al Horford and De’Anthony Melton, ahead of the new season.
