Nikola Jokic got his second triple-double of the season to help the Denver Nuggets beat the Brooklyn Nets in overtime at Barclays Center on Tuesday night.
The Serbian finished with 29 points, 18 rebounds and 16 assists, becoming just the second player in NBA history to tally those numbers in a game.

Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon scored 24 points each, while veteran guard Russell Westbrook added 22 as the Nuggets recorded their second win of the season and their fourth straight against the Nets.

Dennis Schroder scored 28 points for Brooklyn, which led by as much as 17 points in the second quarter. Cam Thomas finished with 26 and Cam Johnson had 20, with Nic Claxton adding 16 points and 12 rebounds off the bench.
Elsewhere, the Golden State Warriors, who were without Stephen Curry, Andrew Wiggins, and De’Anthony Melton, showed the strength of their deep squad as they rallied to a 124-106 win over the New Orleans Pelicans at Chase Center.

Buddy Hield led Golden State with season-high 28 points, Brandin Podziemski had 19 points to help the Warriors overturn a 20-point deficit in the second half. Lindy Waters III got 21 points and eight rebounds as Moses Moody and Jonathan Kuminga ended with 17 points apiece.

Zion Williamson, who had a season-high 31 points on 12-for-20 shooting, and Brandon Ingram, who scored 30 points, were the Pelicans players in double figures.
Meanwhile, in a rematch of last season’s Western Conference Finals, the Dallas Mavericks beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 120-114 at Target Center to improve to 3-1 for the season.

Dallas got the win off the back of Kyrie Irving’s 35 points performance, with the guard pouring in 16 points in the third quarter. Luka Doncic started slow but he finished with 24 points, nine assists and eight rebounds, PJ Washington finished with 17 points and eight rebounds and Daniel Gafford added 14 points.

Anthony Edwards scored 24 of his 37 points in the first quarter to set a home record, Julius Randle tallied 20 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, while Jaden McDaniels and Naz Reid combined for 27 points.
In the other game at Delta Center in Utah, the Sacramento Kings beat the Jazz 113-96.
