Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green and Orlando Magic forward Paolo Banchero have been named the NBA Players of the Week for Week 23 of the 2024-25 season, Afrosport reports.

Green has been named the Western Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season (Week 13) and the third time in his NBA career, becoming the first Rockets’ player to win the award multiple times in a season since James Harden in 2019-20.
The 23-year-old led Houston to a 3-0 week, averaging 28.7 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 4.0 assists per game in the week covering 24-30 March.
Green helped the Rockets to victories over the Atlanta Hawks, Utah Jazz, and Phoenix Suns and is averaging 21.5 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 3.4 assists, while shooting 42.5% from the floor and 35.2% on 3-pointers across 76 games this season.
The guard fended off competition from teammate Alperen Sengun as well as Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves (Lakers), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (OKC), and James Harden (Clippers) to win the award.

Banchero, meanwhile, wins the Eastern Conference Player of the Week honour for the second time in his career.
He led the Magic to a 3-1 record in the week under review, averaging 30.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game as they defeated the Los Angeles Lakers, Charlotte Hornets, and Sacramento Kings, losing only to the Dallas Mavericks.
The 22-year-old is currently averaging 25.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists per game while shooting 45.3% from the floor across 42 games this season.
White brushed off OG Anunoby (Knicks), Scottie Barnes (Raptors), Josh Giddey and Coby White (Bulls), Tyrese Haliburton (Pacers), Tyler Herro (Heat), and Donovan Mitchell (Cavs) to win the weekly award.
