De’Aaron Fox has agreed to a four-year, $229 million maximum contract extension with the San Antonio Spurs, Afrosport reports.
The deal does not include a player option and the 27-year-old will remain in San Antonio through the 2029-30 season. He moved to the Spurs from the Sacramento Kings in a three-team trade in February.

Fox featured 17 times for the Spurs last season, averaging 19.7 points and 6.8 assist. His debut campaign ended abruptly after undergoing a season-ending surgery to repair tendon damage in his left pinkie finger – an injury he picked up during training camp with the Kings in October.
The one-time All-Star and 2023 Clutch Player of the Year posted solid numbers across 62 combined appearances for both the Spurs and Kings, averaging 23.5 points, 6.3 assists and 4.8 rebounds.
With the Spurs selecting Dylan Harper as the No. 2 overall pick in June’s draft, Fox now forms part of an exciting backcourt trio alongside Harper and rising star Stephon Castle.
