The Milwaukee Bucks delivered one of the biggest shocks in the NBA on Tuesday as they are reportedly waiving All-Star guard Damian Lillard and signing free-agent center Myles Turner to a four-year, $107 million deal, Afrosport reports.
Milwaukee have also opted to stretch Lillard’s remaining $113 million deal to help the franchise get their new big man from Indiana.
The Bucks found a creative path to waive and stretch Lillard – whose $113M will be stretched over the next five seasons – while leaving their future draft assets untouched. In a stunning turn of events, Myles Turner departs the Pacers to join the Bucks. https://t.co/2QL87xyK3d

Lillard, who recovered quickly from a deep vein thrombosis in his right calf that forced him to miss the last 14 games of the regular season, suffered an Achilles injury during the Bucks first-round playoff exit to the Indiana Pacers and is expected to miss the whole of the 2025-26 season.
The 34-year-old was an All-Star in his two seasons in Milwaukee and averaged 24.9 points and 7.1 assists last term with the franchise, shooting 44.8% from the field and 37.6% from beyond the arc.
The nine-time All-Star is entering his 14th season in the NBA, having played his first 11 with the Portland Trail Blazers before a blockbuster move sent him to the Bucks in the 2023-24 season.
Turner, the longest-serving player on the Pacers team that got to their first NBA Finals in 25 years, departs the franchise after a decade.
According to reports, his deal with the Bucks includes a player option in the fourth year in 2028-29 and a full 15% trade kicker.
The 29-year-old averaged 15.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and a team-high 2.0 blocks per game last season with Indiana, while shooting a career-best 39.6% from 3-point range and 48.1% from the floor.
