NBA: Bucks’ star Crowder out for eight weeks with adductor & abdominal tear

Milwaukee Bucks forward Jae Crowder will require surgery for a left groin injury he suffered during last Saturday’s game at the Amway Center in Orlando against the Magic.

The 33-year-old, who underwent testing and further evaluation on Tuesday in Philadelphia, was said to have torn his left adductor and abdominal muscles.

Crowder is bidded to undergo surgery on Wednesday, and it has been reported that he will be sidelined for approximately eight weeks.

The former Phoenix Suns and Boston Celtics man managed just one point and two rebounds in 17 minutes of action against Orlando as the Bucks lost 112-97 and fell to a 5-4 record.

He has appeared in all nine games for the Bucks this season, starting two, and is averaging 8.1 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 26.7 minutes per game.
